Bocker the Labradoodle^TM, who is a certified therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International, is also a Tail Wagging Tutor.  Bocker works weekly with children from the Elmer Avenue School in Schenectady, NY, grades 2, 3 and 4.  There are currently 35 children in the program and 8 teams of dogs and handler.

 This program has gone nationwide and has motivated students to increase their reading skills.  Some have joined the program to improve upon their reading skills and also to gain self-confidence and self-esteem.    A side benefit of the program is to encourage children to be responsible and loving towards animals.
