Bocker's  Rainbow Bridge Page

This page is dedicated to Bocker's friends who have gone onto the Rainbow Bridge.  My Uncle Frank Vento wrote the song, Rainbow Bridge.  It is a beautiful song that my daddy sings.  You can hear it on this page or on my Music Page.  Anyone who has a story to tell about their loving pet can send it in and we'll put it on this page.  They are all having one big playdate at the Rainbow Bridge.

We love you Knicki and miss you very much.

April 2009...My "sister" Eisa...who brought so much joy to two families that loved her...we will all miss you. Have fun at the Rainbow Bridge.

DAKOTA - our friend from Dogs In Party Hats - you will be missed by all those you brought smiles to!  APRIL 25, 2002 – January 15, 2010
From Dakota's mom, Lynn Costello..
There are so many words that can  describe this wonderful dog whose life was taken at only 7yrs. 9 mo.  Everyone who met Dakota instantly fell in love with him....He had a disposition and personality that could not be matched!  Dakota loved people and fellow K-9s.....He even liked the many doctors who poked him constantly...Never once would he growl, bite, or whimper....If anything, he would kiss them. Dakota spent the first 3 yrs of his life (8 weeks-3 yrs) making people happy at Regina Nursing home where my mom and aunt spent some time...If ever I showed without him, I would totally be IGNORED!  Not even so much as a "hello, how are you?"  I certainly knew where I stood!Dakota (Kody as he was called), loved the water - hence the beachcomber picture.....He would want to retrieve in the bay 24-7 or as long as my arm would allow....He truly was a remarkable dog and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.I love you Kody and miss you so very much.....You'll be in my heart - forever!

From good friend and Buffett's mom..Sheryl Matthys of Leashes and Lovers

Bubbly spirited, social Buffett loved to be around people.  He was a Leashes and Lovers Ambassador socializing and greeting dogs at many of our events!  He's also been in commercials. His name is in honor of Singer Jimmy Buffett and our Buffett fulfilled his carefree, fun, beach life attitude.  Buffett was first to always greet us at the door, loved and played with our children, enjoyed hanging out in the yard digging holes in the sand and keeping an eye on the birds. Buffett came off a Connecticut racetrack and through Greyhound Friends West rescue group.  He was a lucky pup that could not be raced so we've had him since.  He was a sweet, energetic boy who took part in a PetMD TV commercial:  http://www.leashesandlovers.com/tv/tv.aspx?videoid=46 and a Bayshore Verification video.   Buffett brought us immeasurable joy and laughs!  Buffett was just 6-years-old and passed of a brain tumor/cancer, but will always live in our hearts and thoughts.  God Bless You, Buffett.

My dear friend, Benny Mouse, from England..will be missed by all..especially his Facebook family!!  He was my pal.....have fun at the Rainbow Bridge... Bocker

From his mom..Sandra..
This is Benny.  I would never have believed such a small creature would become such a big part of my life. He passed on 4th August 2009 aged over two years. He was a great character and gave pleasure to many people. He used to stand on his back legs and reach out to be picked up and out of his cage. He would dash around the room in his ball and come over when I called his name. I loved him so much.

Ophelia left us for Rainbow Bridge on May 11th, 2009, at only 8 years old.

We'll miss her vocal greetings, water hunts, and spooky midnight floor creakings as she prowled the dark. No cat will ever sit on our heads with the same finesse, Ophelia, and the windowsill will always be there for you.  Lindsay and Chris

January 2009..Rosie's original owners were always very busy having little or no time for her. After eating breakfast, Rosie took her walk toward our house and spent the days with us..she appreciated our attention, since we are usually home. Early evening, Rosie's owners picked her up and she spent the night there. Three years ago, the friends moved to FL and we inherited Rosie. Rosie, as well as Ruth and I enjoyed each other and now we miss her. She was buried in our garden and as soon as it gets warmer, we will plant some flowers on her grave.  Ernst &Ruth

Peter's beloved BUFFY (the Vampire Slayer) left us on Wednesday 11/26/08 . Without her, our house is not the home that her joyful exuberance made it. Buffy had the sweetest disposition in the whole world. We are sure that she is glancing over that bridge in anticipation, wondering where Peter is.....We will love you and miss you forever.
xoxoxo     Honey & Peter  (Mummy & Daddy)

I'm glad I got to spend some great times with Buffy. I'll always smile thinking how everyone called her mini-Bocker. She was a good friend. I know she is happy with her
friends at the Rainbow Bridge... Love and Licks, your forever pal, Bocker

January 19, 2006
My cousin Speed has crossed over to The Rainbow Bridge -
He will be in god company with Knicki. We'll all miss you
Speed.

Max - July 17, 2008
I'm with my brother, Speed, having fun
at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for our
mother to join us.

Lilly (AKA Kimmi-Kelli), our beautiful girl, went to the Rainbow Bridge on August 23, 2007 at only seven years old.  Lilly brought so much joy to us during her short life. She was our floppy cat, who loved to plop down on our laps and just purr and purr. She kept the other animals in line and had been known to "discipline" the dogs if she didn't like their attitude! She was a bundle of personality and my special plushie girl with a coat just like a bunny rabbit.

March 25, 2008......This is part of a note from Shula's family to our friend, Greg, of Pinebush Kennels...
Greg....On a sad note Shula passed yesterday. I Just wanted to let you know how much you had a hand in making the last 13 years with her such a wonderful part of my family's life. My boys spent their entire lifes with her. We were with her when she passed and as hard as it was we know she is at peace. My vet and many others are amazed at how great of a life she had for her age. A sign of a GREAT BLOOD LINE!!! She touched so many lives and since i spoke of her everyday to someone because i thought of her as my first child.Amy Gaunay-Wetsel Bill Wetsel ...Austin & Zachary Wetsel

October 2007 ...Samson..the "Gentle Giant" - a valued member of Therapy Dogs Int'l and a good friend. He will be missed by all. Samson and mom Patty made over 300 visits together. Patty writes..I don't mean to be prideful, he was just so much fun!!!   And a blessing.  It was because of him than I got into a ministry that I have a gift for, but didn't realize until he came along.  For that I am grateful.
Sweet NOEL, the matriarch of Doodlesville, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who peacefully passed over the "Rainbow Bridge" on August 2,2007.  She was a loyal, obedient and Beautiful Corgi that changed the lives of many people that met her and with her incredible puppies, and her loving devotion to her owner, our dear friend and Bocker's grandma, Nancy, of Doodlesville.

Ziggy

Jezebel

Here's a very special note I received from my pal, Cody Vento, remembering very special Ziggy..gone to meet Jezebel at the
Rainbow Bridge.

Hi Bocker,
we have some sad news ... our last cat Ziggy had to leave us to be with his Sister Jezebel and cousins Carreras, De De, and Wendy at the Rainbow Bridge. We miss him terribly but he was very sick and couldn't stay on earth any more. Even though I'm a Border Collie, Ziggy was like a brother to me.  Ziggy was truly a beautiful creation of God; he got along with all people & animals and was always in good spirits, despite physical challenges since he was a baby. He & his sister Jezebel came to mom & dad when they were 2 years old and they were very close. I don't doubt that Jezebel's passing a year and a half ago slowed Ziggy down, but by the same token, he was twenty years old. Dr. Carreras kept Z-boy under observation for a couple of weeks because he started having seizures again, and his B.U.N. was up to 90 and not receding. He tried I.V. therapy and valium to control the seizures(the phenobarb was too kidney-destructive) but to no avail... we had to let him go.
If indeed there is a God, He has a special place in heaven for Ziggy. God bless you for your understanding,
                                                   Cody Vento

February 2005....This is my cousin, Isis...she has gone onto the
R
ainbow Bridge...I know her human (my daddy's brother) is so sad...
But they still have all the good memories of each other. Big licks to Isis and Kevin. We love you both.
